CRG is Now Filmless

CRG has converted to fully filmless technology. This is far better for the environment as there is no longer any need to use processing chemicals and discharge them into the sewerage system.  Radiology has also traditionally been a large consumer of plastic, paper and cardboard for the xrays, packets and reports. These are no longer required. Transport costs have also been slashed because the images and written reports can now be distributed anywhere electronically.

A filmless service is very reliable and provides efficient access to your images and reports for your referrer and specialist, no matter where they are situated. Computerised viewing systems enable more accurate diagnosis by the radiologist, and avoid the problems of films and packets getting lost.

So long as your doctor, specialist or other health practitioners have been properly authorised and have the correct computer set up, they should be able to view your medical images and reports from the radiologists.

All health professionals must sign a Privacy and Security agreement before being given access to confidential patient information. More detailed information about CRG Privacy and Security policies can be viewed at the Privacy, Security and Audit Section.
