PACS Access

CRG encourages health practitioners to access CRG picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) using Inteleviewer.

WebComrad is an option when there is a problem with Inteleviewer.

Who is eligible to be given access?

  • CRG staff
  • Registered health professionals
  • General practitioners
  • Medical specialists
  • Specified administration staff at participating hospitals

How to gain access rights:

To become an authorised user you must

  • read CRG Privacy and Security information and sign a privacy and security agreement and application form
  • CRG IT will contact you once you have been set up
  • CRG IT provide technical assistance and perform initial applications training

Patients have the right to ask for restrictions to be placed on access to their information and this will stop anyone outside CRG accessing the information. Also, patients are able to request CRG to audit who has looked at their images and reports.

Technical requirements: 

Hardware Requirements
Processor: minimum = Pentium 4; recommended = Pentium Dual Core or equivalent
RAM: minimum = 1GB, recommended = 2GB
Hard Disk Drive: minimum = 10GB of free space
Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista (user must be an Administrator)
Monitor: minimum = 17” (resolution of 1280 x 1024), optimal =  21” (resolution 1600 x 1200) 2 Megapixel Medical Grade Display Monitor.

Apple Macintosh Computers
The CRG PACS software does not work on Apple Macintosh computers.
One alternative is to install Osirix and we can provide you with a CD with each of your patient’s images, which can be imported into Osirix.
The other alternative is to run Windows using Boot Camp or Parallels in which case we can help with the necessary software as noted above.
